Soccer Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Jacksonville Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Douglas of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Jacksonville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Douglas will head out to take on Crossville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jacksonville, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Hokes Bluff at 5:00 p.m. Hokes Bluff will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Jacksonville surely won't give up without a fight.
