            Kodiak is 0-5 against Juneau-Douglas since December of 2014 but things could change  on Friday. The Kodiak Bears will welcome the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears  at 6:00  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kodiak is headed into Friday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game  on Saturday. They took  a  49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wasilla.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Kelly Ticman, who  posted nine points.  Mac Abellera was another key player,  putting up seven  points.
 Meanwhile, Juneau-Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They came up short against  Mt. Edgecumbe, falling  68-47. The Crimson Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  38-11.
 Kodiak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Juneau-Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
 Kodiak suffered a grim  75-50 defeat to Juneau-Douglas  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kodiak was down  37-17.
