The team relied heavily on Bella Moussa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Erin Fiege, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Midlothian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.
Clover Hill couldn't beat Cosby on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 7-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.
Kristyn Niles made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Madison Hayes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Midlothian pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clover Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Midlothian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. However, it's not like Clover Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .379. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
