It's playoff time, and Saint Mary had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mission San Jose Warriors on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four matches in a row.

Saint Mary's was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-17.

Kalaya Phung paced Saint Mary's offense, picking up 16 kills. Phung got some help from Isabella Garzo -Cuevas and her 23 assists. Phung was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Saint Mary's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Mission San Jose, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 20-10 record.

Coming up, Saint Mary's will head out on the road to face off against Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mission San Jose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
