Baseball Recap: Taylor Find Success

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Taylor ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Carlson Marauders 6-5. For the Griffins, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Marauders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Chauncey Adkins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Taylor: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Revoir, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Taylor's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Carlson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Taylor will square off against Trenton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carlson, they will challenge Powers Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
