Softball Preview: South Windsor Bobcats vs. Manchester Red Hawks        
        
		
            
 The South Windsor Bobcats will head out on the road to  take on  the Manchester Red Hawks at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. South Windsor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game  this season.
 On Monday, South Windsor came up short against East Hartford  and fell  7-2.
  Gabrielle Ryan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and five unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.
 At the plate,  Sienna Michaelson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Reese Pellerin was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, South Windsor  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Hartford only tossed three.
 Meanwhile, Manchester also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Lewis Mills by a score of  7-3. Manchester has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 South Windsor's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-7. As for Manchester, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
 South Windsor skirted past Manchester  10-9 when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Will South Windsor repeat their success,  or does  Manchester have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
