Basketball Preview: North Platte Bulldogs vs. Scottsbluff Bearcats
North Platte and the Bearcats are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The North Platte Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scottsbluff Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. North Platte will be strutting in after a win while the Bearcats will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, North Platte was able to grind out a solid victory over the Tigers, taking the game 52-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Platte.
North Platte's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clancy Brown, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Macie Freeze was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-26, which was the final score in Scottsbluff's tilt against the Red Raiders on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Scottsbluff has scored all season.
North Platte now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Scottsbluff, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9.
