Basketball Recap: Capital City Comes Up Short

Capital City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Elizabeth Hornets. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 38-37 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Capital City's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for St. Elizabeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Coming up, Capital City will square off against Jefferson City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Elizabeth, they will face off against Iberia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
