Soccer Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland entered their contest against Battle Creek on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Raiders lost 6-1 to the Grizzlies. Richland were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Battle Creek earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Richland's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1-1 and their overall record down to 11-5-3. As for Battle Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7-1 record this season.
