Softball Recap: Port Richmond Comes Up Short

Port Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the New Dorp Central Cougars, falling 19-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Central Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 back in April.

Port Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for New Dorp, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Port Richmond has already played their next game (against Tottenville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for New Dorp, they will take on Curtis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Central Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
