Liberty-Eylau has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to square off against the Gladewater Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty-Eylau is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 30.2 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Liberty-Eylau was able to grind out a solid win over Tatum, taking the game 36-26.

Trip Baysinger continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 92 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Liberty-Eylau wouldn't let Tatum keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Avion Golston was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. He also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 15. Liberty-Eylau got some further help from Malik Stephens: he made 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, after only 12 points in their last game, Gladewater made sure to put some points up on the board against Sabine on Friday. Gladewater breezed by Sabine on the road to the tune of 49-14. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Brayson Woods was a one-man wrecking crew for Gladewater as he picked up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 57 yards. That's the most rushing yards Woods has posted since back in October of 2023. Grafton Morgan was in the mix as well, providing Gladewater with two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Gladewater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sabine only rushed for 90.

Liberty-Eylau's record now sits at 4-1. As for Gladewater, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Friday's match might be decided in the on the ground. Liberty-Eylau has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Gladewater struggles in that department as they've been averaging 186.7. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
