Softball Recap: Sandalwood Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Sandalwood and Fletcher had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Sandalwood came up short against Fletcher on Tuesday, falling 10-3. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Senators recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Izabella Marques was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Annie Bascon was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Sandalwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fletcher, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sandalwood will challenge Englewood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fletcher, they will face off against Atlantic Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Atlantic Coast will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Fletcher surely won't give up without a fight.
