Brookline faced Winchester in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Red & Black. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 24-26, 25-18, 25-22.

Molly Tipton paced Brookline's offense, picking up nine kills. Tipton got some help from Nora Mullen and her 23 assists. Finally, Tipton was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Brookline's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Winchester, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
