Volleyball Recap: Continental Takes a Loss

Continental was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Ottoville Big Green. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Big Green when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-16.

Macie Clemens paced Continental's offense, picking up nine kills. Clemens got some help from Kenzie Searfoss and her 21 assists. Searfoss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Continental's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ottoville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Continental has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Lima Senior on the 11th. As for Ottoville, they will square off against Ayersville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
