North Port is 3-0 against Cardinal Mooney since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the North Port challenge the Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. Cardinal Mooney took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on North Port, who comes in off a win.

Cardinal Mooney better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when North Port really get things going. Everything went North Port's way against Gateway Charter on Tuesday as North Port made off with a 7-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Mooney unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Tuesday. They fell just short of Out-of-Door Academy by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Samuel Shamsey, who's now up to four this season.

North Port has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. As for Cardinal Mooney, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2.

North Port was able to grind out a solid win over Cardinal Mooney when the teams last played back in November, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Port since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
