Basketball Recap: Curtis' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Curtis's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 43-36 victory over the South Kitsap Wolves. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Curtis' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-13. As for South Kitsap, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Curtis and South Kitsap could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Curtis (ranked 244th) will meet Rogers (ranked 83rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, South Kitsap will square off against Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 174 places (204 vs. 30).
