Recap: Shawnee Indians vs. Perry Commodores
The Shawnee Indians had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past Perry 55-34. Given Shawnee's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Perry is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shawnee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Lynch, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevick Bertke, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Shawnee's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Shawnee will head out on the road to face off against Coldwater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coldwater will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Perry will be home for the holidays to greet Wapakoneta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
