Basketball Recap: Waverly Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

A well-balanced attack led Waverly over Blair in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Waverly Vikings put the hurt on the Blair Bears with a sharp 47-24 victory. The Vikings pushed the score to 40-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears had little chance of recovering from.

Waverly had a senior duo take command as Parker Christiansen posted 21 points and Annie Harms put up 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Jackson, who earned six points.

Despite the loss, Blair still got an impressive performance from Addie Sullivan, who had eight points. Another player making a difference was Beau Wendt, who posted five points.

Waverly's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Blair, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
