Football Recap: Thomasville Comes Up Short

Thomasville lost against West Davidson back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs took a 27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. Despite 213 more yards than the Dragons, the Bulldogs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Zy'Ere Leath threw for 71 yards on six of 15 attempts. Quintin Brunson was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Danarius Gibson rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 16.6 yards per carry.

It was another big night for Carson Correll, who rushed for 50 yards and three scores for West Davidson. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Correll a new career-high.

Thomasville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for West Davidson, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Thomasville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-0 victory against Trinity on the 17th. As for West Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-7 win against Wheatmore on the 17th.
