Volleyball Recap: Seton Catholic Triumphs

Seton Catholic lost to Mesa back in September of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Sentinels walked away with a 2-0 win over the Jackrabbits. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sentinels.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Steinkamp paced Seton Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. (Lizzie) Steinkamp got some help from Maddi Carey-Morrisey and her seven assists. Sophia (Phia) Fisher and Hannah Thiele kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Seton Catholic now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mesa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Seton Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Whittier Christian on the 26th. As for Mesa, they will face off against Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
