Soccer Game Preview: Kennewick vs. Hermiston

Kennewick hasn't had much luck against Hermiston recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will welcome the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Kennewick came up short against Richland and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Kennewick have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Hermiston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Richland. While losing is never fun, Hermiston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Richland are ranked 98th).

This is the second loss in a row for Kennewick and nudges their season record down to 7-3. As for Hermiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Kennewick beat Hermiston 2-0 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
