They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Washington-Marion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Fantasy Brown. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 36 points and 12 rebounds. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. Lashayla Victorian was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 4 steals.
Washington-Marion has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Plainview, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Washington-Marion is on the road again on Saturday and play against South Beauregard at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Plainview, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pine Prairie at 5:00 p.m. Pine Prairie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Plainview is ranked 136th).
