High school football 2014 Top 25 composite rankings

The Composite Top 25 Rankings welcome a Tennessee dynasty to the list, as Maryville High is now tied for 20th on the list thanks to a 10-0 record.

Maryville is on a 25-game winning streak that included a state title last year, and the Rebels are on the hunt as usual.

Also entering the Top 25 is No. 22 St. Edward of Ohio, which at one point was ranked No. 1 in our Xcellent 25. Coming in at No. 23 is Clay-Chalkville of Alabama, a team that has scored 40 or more points in all 10 of its victories.



In order to be considered for these rankings, a team must be ranked in two national polls. If it does not land in all four, the team will be given a 40 to weigh into its average. We chose four national polls that have produced rankings for at least five years. The four polls include the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 writers' rankings, the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, USA Today Super 25 Expert Rankings and PrepNation's National Prep Poll.
