Basketball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Warriors vs. Unity Christian Knights
Coram Deo Academy extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-4. They were beaten by the Unity Christian Knights 58-27. The Warriors were down 50-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Coram Deo Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kailey Booher dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Booher is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Peyton Peterson was another key player, putting up eight points.
As for Unity Christian, their record is now 3-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season.
Unity Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emily Merema out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave Merema a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia Van Kampen, who went 7-for-10 en route to 16 points.

Meanwhile, Unity Christian will take on rival Quad Cities Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Knights 30, the Eagles 28) so any points scored will be well earned.
