Softball Recap: Cactus Takes a Loss

Cactus was the 3-2 winner over Deer Valley when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cobras fell 6-2 to the Skyhawks on Thursday.

Cactus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Enos, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Cactus' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-7. As for Deer Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record this season.

Cactus has already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Ironwood on the 11th. As for Deer Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-4 loss against Flagstaff on the 14th.
