Softball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Rocklin Thunder

Davis Sr. hasn't had much luck against Rocklin recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Blue Devils will challenge the Thunder at 5:00 p.m.

Davis Sr. is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They fell 6-1 to Oak Ridge.

Davis Sr. saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Yao, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Rocklin got the win against St. Francis on Saturday by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Katie Wetteland, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Kylee Rogers was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Rocklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Rocklin's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Davis Sr., they now have a losing record of 11-12-1.

Davis Sr. might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Rocklin in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
