Softball Recap: Dripping Springs' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After flying high against Weiss last Saturday, Dripping Springs came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Georgetown Eagles on Tuesday, falling 10-4. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Dripping Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Bradford, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Dripping Springs moved to 22-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Georgetown, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dripping Springs will challenge Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Chaparrals at the right time seeing as the Chaparrals are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Georgetown, they will take on Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.91 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
