Baseball Recap: Marcellus Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bangor

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marcellus). They put the hurt on the Bangor Vikings with a sharp 20-9 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Abram Coffey was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rory Rogers, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Marcellus' win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bangor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Marcellus will welcome Gobles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bangor, they will venture away from home to take on Martin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
