Volleyball Game Preview: Hamilton Bobcats vs. United Christian Academy Eagles

Hamilton is 0-10 against United Christian Academy since October of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hamilton and California School for the Deaf-Riverside meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Bobcats blew past the Cubs 3-0. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Cubs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Hamilton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, United Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past California Lutheran 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (110-107) United Christian Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 24-26, 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Hamilton's record now sits at 17-5. As for United Christian Academy, their record is now 7-8.

Hamilton might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from United Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
