After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maloney, Avon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Northwest Catholic Lions 21-8. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Avon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs. As for Northwest Catholic, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Avon will challenge rival Simsbury at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northwest Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe Conard at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
