Softball Recap: Montclair Find Success

Montclair won the last time they faced Chaffey and things went their way on Friday too. The Cavaliers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

The team relied heavily on Mya Ruiz, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Rodriguez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Montclair's record now sits at 3-8. As for Chaffey, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montclair will take on rival Don Lugo at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chaffey is set to square off against their familiar foe Chino at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
