Basketball Game Preview: Mesquite Wildcats vs. Westview Knights + How To Watch

The Mesquite Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Westview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mesquite took on Gilbert on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 68-63 to the Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Westview hadn't beaten Tolleson on the road since January 28, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Knights took their contest with ease, bagging a 67-34 win over the Wolverines. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 33 points or more this season.

Westview pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points over those games. As for Mesquite, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Mesquite was able to grind out a solid victory over Westview when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 56-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
