Syracuse lost to Fort Calhoun back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Rockets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pioneers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23.

Tatumn Walters paced Syracuse's offense, picking up 22 kills. Walters got some help from Ava Mohr and her 31 assists. Isabel Schizas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Syracuse's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Fort Calhoun, they dropped their record down to 16-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Syracuse has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Wahoo on the 20th. As for Fort Calhoun, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 20th.
