Softball Recap: Shelby Takes a Loss

Shelby lost against Highland Tech back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Golden Lions lost 14-4 to the Rams. The Golden Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelby saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Collins, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Collins' first of the season.

Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Highland Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Shelby has already played their next game, a 17-1 defeat against Burns on the 30th. As for Highland Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Forestview on the 1st.
