On Friday, Kenedy didn't have quite enough to beat Refugio and fell 63-61.

Meanwhile, Yorktown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 42-20 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Yorktown is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Kenedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything came up roses for Kenedy against Yorktown in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 56-24 victory. Will Kenedy repeat their success, or does Yorktown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
