Volleyball Recap: Madison Central Starts Season with Win at Home

Madison Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bourbon County Colonels with a sharp 3-0 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Colonels recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-16.

Bella Morrett paced Madison Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Morrett got some help from Josee Campbell and her 29 assists. Addi Neal controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Bourbon County is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Central will host Great Crossing at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bourbon County, they will welcome Lexington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
