Baseball Recap: Meridian Warriors vs. Pocatello Thunder
Meridian pushed their score to nine the last time they played Pocatello, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Meridian Warriors had just enough and edged out the Pocatello Thunder 2-0. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 12-9 win the Thunder walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.
Bodee Randall looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Meridian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Marquardt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Marquardt hit this season.
