Hernando had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Clinton Arrows 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Arrows: they've now won six in a row.
Madeline Sowell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
