Football Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers, falling 58-12. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Wellington-Napoleon, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Fe will host Orrick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
