Basketball Recap: Irwin County Comes Up Short

Irwin County was the 70-57 winner over Wilcox County when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 74-68 to the Patriots on Thursday.

Irwin County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Wilcox County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coming up, Irwin County will finish 2025 at home by hosting Fitzgerald at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Wilcox County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-45 win against Brooks County on the 19th.
