Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Comes Up Short

Meadow Bridge lost against Calhoun two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calhoun Red Devils. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calhoun's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brennen Carpenter, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. Carpenter has become a key player for Calhoun: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 3-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Baron Davis, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 19 points and five boards.

Meadow Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Calhoun, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.
