Recap: Spring Garden Panthers vs. Ragland Purple Devils
The Spring Garden Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They strolled past Ragland with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Spring Garden also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Ragland's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was A'ron Lee, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Spring Garden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Ragland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Spring Garden will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 11th. Ragland will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Valley Head at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th.
