Basketball Recap: Coral Springs Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Coral Springs walked away with it. They skirted past the South Plantation Paladins 68-66. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Paladins: they've now won three in a row.

Alex Pierre-Louis was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 21 on his way to 22 points and five boards. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Tavien Neille was another key player, going 5 of 12 to rack up 13 points.

Despite the loss, South Plantation still got an impressive performance from Marc Vincent, who went 9 for 15 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. Those 22 points gave Vincent a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Swaminsky Liberal, who posted 13 points.

Coral Springs' win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for South Plantation, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.

Coral Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-59 loss against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 7th. As for South Plantation, they will take on Miramar at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. South Plantation is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
