Baseball Recap: East Chicago Central Comes Up Short

East Chicago Central lost against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals lost 9-1 to the Hawks.

East Chicago Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Rios, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

East Chicago Central dropped their record down to 9-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Looking ahead, East Chicago Central will square off against Hammond Bishop Noll at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, they will face off against Tri-Township at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
