Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Skates Past Tinley Park with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Trier, Hillcrest was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 47-18 victory over the Tinley Park Titans. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Titans are ranked 605th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Tinley Park, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will head out to challenge Richards at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hillcrest is facing Richards at the right time seeing as Richards is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tinley Park, they are taking a road trip to take on Bremen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tinley Park will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Bremen will have lost 15 straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
