Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Foncham Ambe, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Devin Thomas, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Oxon Hill's 17-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 59-47 to Gwynn Park on Monday.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.5 points per game. As for Oxon Hill, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North couldn't quite finish off Oxon Hill in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 68-66.
