Basketball Recap: Frankford Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Frankford Pioneers were beaten by the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings 64-31. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Vikings are ranked 96th).

Frankford's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Allentown Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankford will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on String Theory at 3:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they will challenge Pocono Mountain West at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
