Baseball Game Preview: Cambridge/Salem vs. Corinth Riverhawks

Cambridge/Salem will head out to take on the Corinth Riverhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Cambridge/Salem will be strutting in after a victory while Corinth will be coming in after a defeat.

If Cambridge/Salem beats Corinth with ten runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went Cambridge/Salem's way against Warrensburg on Friday as they made off with a 10-0 win. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for Cambridge/Salem this season.

Meanwhile, Corinth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-2 to Mayfield.

Corinth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Wright, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run marked the first that Wright has scored this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Cambridge/Salem and bumps their season record up to 3-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Corinth, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
