Softball Recap: East Limestone Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

East Limestone had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Athens Bible on Tuesday. The Indians put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 15-5 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Scarlett Brown, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Lara Looney, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

East Limestone has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Athens Bible, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Limestone will square off against Clements at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Athens Bible, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cherokee at 4:30 p.m.
