Basketball Recap: Dillon Wildcats vs. Manning Monarchs

Even though the Manning Monarchs scored an imposing 68 points on Friday, the Dillon Wildcats still came out on top. Dillon slipped by the Monarchs 69-68. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dillon.

Dillon found their leader in underclassman Zamaurious Robertson, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Robertson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamarion Fling, who scored ten points along with five steals.

Dillon pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Manning, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dillon will take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Waccamaw will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Wildcats are ranked 88th). As for Manning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Loris has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last four matchups.
